Who Am I?

I'm a .NET (C#) software developer from Dominican Republic.
I work mainly building .NET and .NET Core websites and applications and as a database designer for such applications. On my free time I work as an extension developer for Visual Studio and I'm currently learning Vue.js.

When I'm not a work, I love doing katas at Code Wars, reading on Medium or dev.to or reading mangas such as One Piece, Black Clover and Bungou Stray Dogs.

Enrolled in the college Universidad Acción Pro Educación y Cultura (UNAPEC) to do the bachelor degree in Software Engineering.
Learned among other things:
  • Requirements analysis
  • Translate requirments to a database structure
  • Translate requirements to objects and classes in code
  • Software testing (unit and integration tests)

Degree obtained by enrolling in the Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA), where I learnt the basics of software development and database design and my first steps into web development.

Mid-Junior Developer at Ministry of Education July 2017 - Present

Working with C# and ASP .NET websites and web applications.
Besides giving maintenance to legacy ASP Classic sites, I work implementing new features and designing new web apps and APIs

Tasks assigned include:

  • Resolve bugs and implement new features in legacy systems
  • Design database structure based on user stories and requirements for new applications
  • Design and develop new web applications based on user stories and requirements
  • Design web APIs for internal use of the other applications

Junior Developer at Daniel Espinal SA April 2017 - July 2017

Worked on an internal ERP with C#, ASP .NET MVC, Javascript and jQuery.

Main tasks were running maintenance on the application by fixing bugs.
Later on started working implementing new features and translating user stories into code.
